Network Configuration
Contact your IT department to obtain a unique IP address, Subnet Mask, and
Gateway IP address (if available) for each Enwatch unit and record them here.

To assign the IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway IP address (if available),
complete the following steps.
1. Attach the Enwatch unit to a terminal (or computer in terminal mode) via
the RS-232 serial port by using a null modem cable.
2. Insert a jumper into the normal/monitor mode connector (21).
3. Start up a terminal program (Hyperterminal) and set it up to
communicate through the serial port with the following settings:
• 9600 Baud
• No parity
• 8 data bits
• 1 stop bit
4. Turn on the Enwatch unit.
The configuration menu is displayed in the terminal window.
5. Select 5- Configure Adapter Settings.
6. Select 2 - Assign Host MAC, and set it to the MAC address from the
board (press Esc if the MAC address shown is the correct one).
TIP
The network configuration can be done while the Enwatch board is on a bench with
24V applied from an external source. The board does not have to be in the enclosure for
network configuration.
