: Inspection) and consult the hand cup instructions for

service directions. Perform inspection and maintenance as needed to identify and correct any

deficiency before resuming normal use of the hand cups.

Lifting the Load

If turning the hand winch becomes significantly more difficult at any time while you are lifting the

load, discontinue winching. Make sure there are no obstructions to the load and that the lifting

rope has not become snagged anywhere. Identify the source of the resistance and resolve it
before continuing, in order to prevent undue stress on the Eazi Lifter's components, lifting rope
or the load.

WARNING: Never force winch to overcome obstacles or snagged rope. Doing so

could result in personal injury, or damage to Eazi Lifter or load.

If a rotating load would strike anything on the way up to the desired height--especially a work

support structure, the building or the Eazi Lifter itself--use a guide straps to restrain the load
from rotating. Do not allow anyone to stand under the load while using such a restraint; it
should be sufficiently long for a person to stand safely out of the way while using it.

WARNING: Never leave a suspended load unattended.

When the load reaches the predetermined height, the nylon bead contacts the end of the boom

and additional cranking on the winch draws the boom inward and upward, pulling the load into
the opening. Guide straps or other means of exterior control can now be removed from the load.

WARNING: Keep fingers clear of the boom to avoid pinching hazard.

Once the boom is fully drawn inward, engage the boom latch to hold the window or load in

place. Do not continue to crank the winch or it will damage the end of the boom. If the selected
head plate and base plate are equipped with rotating hubs, the main support post may be

rotated, allowing the load to shift from side to side as necessary for proper fit. If the window is
not easily drawn into the opening, it may be necessary to lower the window to the ground and
adjust the lift chains or hand cup position so the nylon bead draws in the boom earlier or later,

as desired.
Make sure the window or glazing is sufficiently secure in the opening before relieving the tension

on the lifting rope and releasing the hand cups. Press and hold the release valve on the end of
each hand cup while gently pulling on the hand cup until it detaches from the load.
If lifting a load with the intent of drawing it in through the opening, swiveling it around and

setting it on the floor, make sure to always keep the boom latched in the withdrawn orientation

after it has been lifted. Allowing the boom to extend into the room may cause it to release from
the opening, potentially causing damage to lifter, load, or room, as well as possibly injury to the
operator or any bystander.

To lower a load, follow the same safety guidelines as when raising a load (above), and slowly

crank the hand winch counter-clockwise until the load rests securely on the ground or a stable
support. Follow the same procedure to lower an empty lifting rope. Attaching the hand cups to

each other (face to face using the vacuum pump) keeps them clean and prevents them from
getting damaged as they are raised and lowered without a load.
