Note: If a vacuum pad has been lying against a hard object (as during shipping), it may be

slightly distorted. Although initially it may be difficult to apply the pad to a load, this condition

should correct itself with continued use.

Before lifting the load, crank the hand winch clockwise as needed to remove excess slack in the

lifting rope and to verify that it is not loose or tangled in any way. Make sure the load is ready

for lifting and that it will not slide or swing once tension is applied to the lifting rope. Also make
sure that the load will not encounter any obstructions on the way up to its installation point.

About Red-Line Indicators

Each hand cup is equipped with a red-line vacuum indicator. When the red-line indicators are

hidden on all the hand cups, they are ready to lift the load.

WARNING: Never attempt to lift load when any red-line indicator is visible.

Do not attempt to lift a load while any red-line indicator is visible; such an attempt could result in

a load release and possible injury to the operator.

Controlling the Eazi Lifter and Load

Attach guide straps to additional hand cups or to the handles of the lifting cups to control the

load and prevent undesirable load motion while lifting. Minimize the tension on the guide straps
because it adds to the load on the Eazi Lifter, reducing its effective capacity.
When the red-line vacuum indicators show that the hand cups are ready, crank the hand winch in

the clockwise direction to raise the load. You should hear audible “clicks” as the winch gradually

lifts the load, indicating that the automatic brake is properly engaged. When the load is only a
few inches off the ground, stop cranking the winch and verify that the automatic brake is holding
the load, and that the load is balanced for a level lift. Also make sure that the crane is securely
mounted in the opening.

Monitoring Vacuum Indicators

All hand cups must remain visible to the operator, so that the red-line vacuum indicators can be

monitored throughout the entire lift. If any of the hand cups experiences leakage, its red-line

indicator becomes visible, to signal the reduction in vacuum to the operator.

WARNING: Monitor red-line indicators throughout entire lift; never leave

suspended loads unattended.

Check all red-line indicators frequently to make sure the vacuum pads are attached securely. If a

red-line indicator becomes visible while you are lifting a load, move away and stay clear of the
load until it can be lowered to the ground or a stable support.

WARNING: Stay clear of suspended load while any red-line indicator is visible.

Discontinue hand cup use until the cause of the vacuum loss can be determined. If it is caused

by contamination, thoroughly clean the contact surfaces of the load and the vacuum pads (see

red-line indicator remains visible when the hand cups are attached to clean, smooth, nonporous
materials, the hand cup requires service or repair. Inspect the vacuum pad for damage (see
