3. Once the CV-joint has been separated from the left-side
gearbox coupler, push the CV-joint inward so that a gap
(Figure 25) exist between the coupler and the CV-joint.

4. Slide the replacement belts between the gap
(Figure 25) that exists between the left-side gearbox
and the CV-joint.
5. Place both spare drive belts into the spare drive belt
holder. as shown in Figure 26. Reattach spare belt
holder back onto fuel tank.

6. Apply a thin coat of RVT silicone to mating surfaces of
the CV-joint (Figure 27) and left-side gearbox coupler.

7. Reconnect the CV-joint to the left-side geaxbox coupler.
8. Re-install drive belt guard onto frame. Secure with
bolts (3) and associated hardware.
BLaDe pITCH
matching Blade pitch for Both Sets of Blades
Sometimes it may be necessary to match blade pitch
between the two sets of blades. There are some signs
that this may be necessary. For example, the differences
in pitch could cause a noticeable difference in finish quality
between the two sets of blades, or, the difference in blade
pitch could make the machine difficult to control. This is
due to the surface area in contact with the concrete (the
blade set with the greater contact area tends to stick to the
concrete more).
Single Pitch
On a Single Pitch trowel each spider assembly can be
pitched individually, forcing the operator to constantly make
adjustments on each pitch tower.
Twin Pitch TM
Trowels equipped with Twin Pitch TM Controls may need
to have blade pitch between the two sets of blades
"synchronized". If the blades need to be synchronized
this is easily accomplished by performing the following.
Refer to Figure 28.
1. Lift the pitch adjustment handle on either side. Once
lifted, that side is now disconnected from the Twin
Pitch system.
