The MPE activity supports data entry rules and enhanced
validation that the MPT process does not support.
Functionally equivalent with the following differences:

MPT has more placeholders available when specifying the location
of the application to run or the parameters passed to the
application.

MPT has a prompt for restart option that asks the operator how
to restart.
In MPE, the test designer must decide if the activity should restart
the application or proceed as if the application completed.

MPT has no mechanism to know if the application succeeded. In
MPE, the return status from the application can be returned in a
variable.
The MPE activity covers all the major functionality of the MPT process.
In addition, the MPE activity has the following enhancements:

In MPE, the server setup is centralized in Preferences menu >
Configuration > E-Mail.

In MPE, the values of variables can be inserted into the text for
most of the properties.
The MPT process can set calculation parameters and calculation
variables.
