THE RPM CHANNEL

If an output is not available from the igni-
tion system, the system has to be connec-
ted to the low voltage of the coil.

The coil from which to get the signal, is
schematically shown in the image below.

EVO 4

n Point 1

Is the low voltage input of the coil.

n Point 2

Is connected to the spark plug.

n Point 3

Is connected to the positive pole of the
battery (+12 V).

Shows an example of connection between
coil and spark plug.

The voltage at the points indicated by the
numbers 1, 2 and 3 is shown.
