5. Install the toner cartridge into the new drum unit. For more information,
“REPLACING THE TONER CARTRIDGE”
in this chapter.
6. Install the new drum unit into the printer.

7. Close the top cover.
8. Turn on the power switch. The printer automatically ejects the starter
sheet. Ejecting this sheet resets the drum life alarm.

Caution
Do not open the top cover until the printer ejects the starter sheet
completely. It may cause the starter sheet to jam.
