with other IR devices. This device is a Class 1 Laser product.

SENDING AND RECEIVING DATA USING INFRARED

Ensure that the infrared ports of your phone and the other device are
pointing at each other and that there are no obstructions between
the devices.

The preferable distance between the two devices in an infrared
connection is three feet at the most.

To receive data, activate the infrared port of your phone by pressing

Menu

in standby mode and by selecting

Connectivity

and

Infrared

.

Ask the user of the sending phone to start the data transfer.

To send data from your phone, select the function from which you
want to send data over the infrared connection.

For example, to send a calendar note when you are viewing it in the

Calendar

menu, press

Options

and select

Send note

and

Via infrared

.

If data transfer is not started within two minutes after the activation of
the infrared port, the connection is cancelled and has to be started again.

is shown continuously, the infrared connection is active

and your phone is ready to send or receive data using its infrared port.

blinks, your phone is trying to connect to the other device

or the connection has been lost.
