You can set the keypad to lock automatically after a certain length of
time. See
Automatic keyguard on page 59 .
When the Keyguard is on, calls still may be possible to the official
emergency number programmed into your phone. Enter the emergency
number and press
.
• WRITING TEXT
You can enter text for messages or notes using predictive or traditional
text input.
Predictive text input
In predictive text input, you can key in characters by pressing a letter key
once for each character. This method uses a dictionary built into the
phone.
SETTING PREDICTIVE TEXT INPUT ON OR OFF
When writing text, press Options and select Predictive text .
• To set predictive text input on, select the language you want from the
dictionary list. Predictive text input is only available for the languages
on the list.
• To revert to traditional text input, select Prediction off .
Tip: To quickly set predictive text input on or off when writing text,
press twice, or press and hold Options .
USING PREDICTIVE TEXT INPUT
To use this input method, check that is shown at the top of the
display.
1 Write a word by using the keys to . Press each key only
once for one letter. The word may change after each keypress.
To write Nokia, press .
• To move the cursor to the left, right, down or up, press , ,
or .
• To delete the character to the left of the cursor, press Clear . Press
and hold Clear to delete several characters.
• To change the character case, press repeatedly and check
the indicator, for example Abc, at the top of the display.
