Creating recovery SDHC Card
You need to insert an unlocked SDHC Card with a capacity of 4GB or more
into the SD Card slot of your computer, if you like to create a recovery SD
Card.
■
Be sure to connect the AC adaptor when you create Recovery SDHC Card.
■
Be sure to close all other software programs except the TOSHIBA
Recovery Media Creator.
■
Do not run software such as screen savers which can put a heavy load
on the CPU.
■
Operate the computer at full power.
■
Do not use power-saving features.
■
Do not use utilities, including those intended to enhance hard disk drive
access speed. They may cause unstable operation and damage data.
■
Do not shut down/log off or Hibernation/Suspend while writing or
rewriting the SDHC Card.
■
Set the computer on a level surface and avoid places subjected to
vibrations such as airplanes, trains, or cars.
■
Do not use on unstable tables or any other unstable surfaces.
A recovery image of your computer is stored on the hard disk. You may use
this image to create the SDHC Card using the following steps:
1. Select a SDHC Card with a capacity of 4 GB or more.
2. Turn on your computer to open Ubuntu Linux.
3. Insert the SDHC Card into the SD Card Slot.
4. Click the TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator icon on the Linux Ubuntu
desktop.
Some media may not be compatible to the SDHC Card feasible for your
computer. Please verify the SD card slot supports the blank SDHC Card
you choose.
