4. Design and function
4.1 Description
The temperature transmitter serves for the conversion of the
resistance value or voltage value into a proportional digital
measurement value. The digital value complies with PROFIBUS ® PA
and FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus-specifications and will be used in a
following logical control unit (e.g. PLC).
A unique switch function ensures automatic shift between the two
fieldbus protocols.

■ FISCO certified
■ Polarity-independent bus connection
■ PROFIBUS ® PA function blocks: 2 analogue

■ FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus capability: Basic or LAS
■ The simulation mode function for FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus can
be activated by way of a magnet only
Temperature Transmitter Model T53.10 is part of an electrical
temperature measuring device for use in the industry. The trans-
mitter is intended to be mounted into a commonly used connection
head of a electrical thermometer.
