CAS
Conditional access system, access system for Pay TV channels.
CI
Common Interface, slot with standart mit genormter interface for CA module.
DiSEqC
Digital Satellite Equipment Control, signals made by the receiver for control LNB `s, multiswitch and
motorised systems
EPG (electronic program guide)
Information service made by the channel operator, with information about the shown movies.
FEC
Forward Error Correction, one technique for compensate transmission mistakes in defect data
packages.
FTA
Free to Air, channels wit h out Pay-TV content, you can see free of charge.
LNB
Low Noise Block converter, the LNB converts the frequency from satellite to a frequency who can use
by the receiver. One LNB has also a special amplifier with very less own noise.
MPEG
Moving Picture Experts Group, standards for digital compression in video and audio data.
PID
Packet Identification, the P ID number is the identification number for digital audio and video data’s
inside a data stream.
PIN-Code
Personal Identification Number is a four digit code for lock critical areas in a rec eiver or to deactivate
the parental control.
