Features That Cannot Be Used Simultaneously
Some functions cannot be used with other menu options.
Restricted function

Flash mode
Continuous (
When a setting other than Single is selected,
the flash cannot be used.
Blink proof (
When Blink proof is set to On, the flash
cannot be used.
Self-timer
Subject tracking (
When Touch shooting is set to Subject
tracking, Self-timer cannot be used.
Smile timer (
A70)
When Smile timer is used for shooting, the
self-timer cannot be used.
Macro mode
Subject tracking (
When Touch shooting is set to Subject
tracking, Macro mode cannot be used.
Image mode
Continuous (
Image mode is set as follows depending on
the continuous shooting setting:
• Continuous H: 120 fps: O (image size: 640
× 480 pixels)
• Continuous H: 60 fps: M (image size: 1280
× 960 pixels)
• Multi-shot 16: L (image size: 2560 × 1920
pixels)
Touch shooting
Smile timer (
A70)
When Smile timer is used for shooting,
Touch shooting cannot be used.
Pet portrait auto release
(
When Pet portrait auto release is used for
shooting, Touch shooting cannot be used.
ISO sensitivity
Continuous (
When Pre-shooting cache, Continuous H:
120 fps, Continuous H: 60 fps, or Multi-
shot 16 is selected, the ISO sensitivity
setting is automatically specified according to
the brightness.
