Parameters
port
Specifies the port to be configured. You can
specify more than one port at a time, but the
ports must be of the same medium type. For
example, you cannot configure twisted pair and
fiber optic ports with the same command. You
can specify the ports individually (for example,
5,7,22), as a range (for example, 18-23), or both
(for example, 1,5,14-22).
description
A description for the port, from 1 to 15
alphanumeric characters. Spaces are allowed
but do not use special characters. If the name
contains spaces, it must be enclosed in double
quotes. Otherwise, the quotes are optional. You
cannot specify a description if you are
configuring more that one port.
status
Specifies the operating status of the port. The
options are:
enabled The port forwards network traffic.
This is the default setting.
disabled The port does not forward network
traffic.
speed
Sets the speed and duplex mode of the port.
The options are:
autonegotiate The port uses Auto-Negotiation
for both speed and duplex mode.
This is the default setting.
