• We recommend using a tripod when recording with a slow shutter speed.
• The image may not seem smooth when a high speed is set.
• This function cannot be use with the following functions; EASY.Q, C.Nite.
• When recording with a shutter speed of 1/1000 or higher, make sure the sun is not directly shining into the lens.
• Fast shutter speed allows a fast-moving subject to be captured one frame at a time vividly.
• The shutter speed also can be set using the Shortcut menu. page 35
16:9 Wide
This function is available in DISC Record/CARD Video Record mode. page 26
You can record videos in 16:9 or 4:3 according to the desired aspect ratio. Set the proper aspect ratio as your TV.

• When playing back a 16:9(wide) video you’ve recorded on this camcorder on a PC, the picture size may be less sharp and
in 4:3, depending on the software used for playback. For the clearest 4:3 picture on your PC, select “16:9 Wide:Off” or the

You can select the quality of a video to be recorded. This DVD camcorder can film in the SF (Super Fine), F (Fine) and
N (Normal) modes. The Fine mode is set as the factory default.
