load_key
Function Load an encryption key into the device.
Syntax /load_key n key
n can be one of the following values:
M – master key (key is in clear text)
S – session key (key is encrypted under Master Key)
0 ... 3 – lower working keys (key is encrypted under Session Key)
A ... J – upper working keys (key is encrypted under Session Key)
key is the 16- or 32-character value of the key to be loaded.
Errors /load_key 30
If the n field is invalid, key is the wrong length, or the device sends an error
(e.g., there is a key parity error).
/load_key 45
If the required key is not loaded.
Remarks This command is used to load a key into the device. With all but the master key, the
selected key is encrypted under another key so the application must know the
encrypted value of the key. The response to this command is:
/load_key SS
SS is a two digit status code; 00 – success, 30 – invalid, 45 – rejected, etc.
Example To load the session key encrypted under the master key:
Command /load_key S 99E1E835662DEA94
Response /load_key 00
