7 Troublesh ooting

PROBLEM

PROBABLE CAUSE

REMEDY

Power LED is off

• Power supply absent

• Make sure the jack from the power supply is

properly inserted in its socket. Make sure the
power supply is properly inserted in the main outlet
socket.

Remote keyboard
commands are not
carried out

• Protocol configuration

error

• Configuration error in

baud rate for
communication with
keyboards

• Wiring error

• Make sure the matrix has the same communication

protocol as the keyboard (see configuration dip
switches in section 3.4.2.2).

• Make sure the communication rate is the same as

the setting for the keyboards (see configuration dip
switches).

• Make sure the cables are intact and follow the

wiring diagrams (see the chapter on installation).
Do not exceed the maximum allowed distances:
1200 m for non-remote powered keyboards
(RS485 lines A and B) and 700 m for remote
powered keyboards (12VDC Lines and GND).

Output video 2 does
not switch

• VCR trigger setting

• Output 2 has been set for control by VCR trigger. If

it is to be controlled by the keyboard go to the
‘External triggers’ item and set Use VCR: No.

The keyboard is
unable to switch some
of the matrix outputs

• The keyboard has been

enabled to manage some
of the monitors

• Some keyboard models (DCJ, DCK e DCT), allow

the control of some output videos to be disabled.
See the specific keyboard manual and check the
settings for the output videos that can be controlled
by the keyboard.

The Aux line does not
work

• Aux Line disabled

• Keyboard and matrix

protocol configuration
error

• Wiring error

• In the menu for the Aux line, make sure protocol

and baud rate settings for the line are the same as
those for the receiver/mux to be controlled

• The matrix and hence all the keyboards should

have the MACRO protocol setting and the same
baud rate

• Check the wiring for the Aux line with that shown in

the chapter on installation.

Telemetry via coaxial
cable does not work

• Telemetry via coaxial

disabled

• Keyboard and matrix

protocol configuration
error

• Error in receiver address

setting

• Wiring error

• Check the menu for enabling Coax Telemetry

Transmission via coaxial cable.

• The matrix and keyboards should have the MACRO

protocol setting with the same baud rate

• The receiver address should be the same as that of

the input video to which it is connected by coaxial
cable (e.g. input video 4 / receiver with address 4)

• Make sure the coaxial cable is intact. Do not insert

video distributor, amplifiers or equalisers between
the telemetry receiver and matrix input. Do not
exceed the maximum allowed distance for
telemetry transmission via coaxial cable (350 m)

The matrix shows
completely black
screens, without
identification text

• Error in switching cycle

setting

• Manual switching on input

video not present

• Use the menu to make sure the switching

sequences have been set up with the input videos
present.

• If manual switching is carried out on an input video

that is not present, a completely black screen
without identification text will be shown.

The automatic
switching sequence
does not correspond
to the preset
sequence.

• Error in switching

sequence setting

• Check the switching sequence setting in the

switching sequence menu.
