Raise and support truck at a comfortable
working height. Place jackstands under
the frame ahead of the front leafspring
hangar. Support the axle housing with
another set of jackstands. Since you will
be removing both leafsprings you will
need to support the pinion yoke of the
axle housing to prevent it from dropping
when the leafsprings are removed
.
2. (fig1) Remove the Factory overload
bracket by drilling or grinding these 4
rivets. Repeat this step on both driver and
passenger side.
3.(fig2) Shows the bracket removed, now
drill holes to 7/16 to accept the new
supplied hardware .repeat this step on
both driver and passenger side.
4. ( fig 3) Using the supplied hardware (7/16 x 1.5”
bolts, washers and nyloc nuts) bolt the new
bracket into the holes previously drilled in step 3.
Repeat this step on both driver and passenger side.
