BMR Suspension For the car
RADIATOR SUPPORT CHASSIS BRACE INSTALLATION
CB004 – 2005-Present Mustang
NOTE: This brace was designed for use on 2011+ model Mustangs. To make this brace compatible on 2005-2010 models, it is
necessary to use either the BMR Tubular Radiator Support (RS003) or an OE 2011 radiator support.
RECOMMENDED TOOLS:
Sockets: 9/16”, 8mm, 15mm deep, 18mm deep
3/8” drive ratchet
9/16” wrench
Hydraulic jack and stands
INSTALLATION:
1. Lift the vehicle and safely support it under the front engine cradle (K-
member) or frame rails.
2. Using the 8mm wrench, remove all of the small screws that retain the
lower plastic panels covering the OE chassis brace and radiator core
support. Remove panels to gain access to work area.
3. Using a 15mm socket, remove the (8) bolts (4 on K-member and 4 on
Radiator support) that retain the OE chassis brace then remove the brace.

4. Using an 18mm socket, remove the nuts on the K-member that mount the
rack and pinion. (IMAGE 2)
5. If you are using the BMR Tubular Radiator Support (RS003), please use
the supplied 3/8” x 1” bolts, nuts, and washers on the front mounts of your
BMR Radiator Support Chassis Brace. If you are using the OE radiator
support, use the OE bolts on the front. The rear attaches to the rack and
pinion mounting bolts as shown in IMAGE 3.
6. Tighten the OE radiator support bolts to 47 ft/lbs. If using the BMR
Tubular Radiator Support, tighten the supplied 3/8” bolts to 45 ft/lbs.
Tighten the rack and pinion bolts to 83 ft/lbs.
7. The plastic panel covers can be left off the vehicle or trimmed to clear
your new BMR Radiator Support Chassis Brace.
8. Lower vehicle.
