INSTALLATION:
1.
Lift vehicle and support with stands. Remove wheel and tire.
2.
Remove the brake hose from the caliper. If you have a ’93-’97 model vehicle, loosen
the hose from the steel brake line and discard the hose. If you have a ’98-’02 model,
you can use the F-Body hoses.
3.
Loosen the two caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper.
4.
Remove the 4 bolts that retain the hub assembly and remove hub.
5.
At this time it is necessary to modify the factory spindle to accept the BMR adapter
bracket. On ’93-’97 cars, cut off both caliper mounting ears as shown in Image 1. For
’98-’02 cars, it is only necessary to remove the lower caliper mounting ear. This is
most easily accomplished with a Sawzall or portable band saw. When finished, the
spindle should look similar to Image 2.
6.
With the modifications to the spindle complete, position the BMR bracket against the
rear of the spindle and verify clearance. If no further modifications are necessary, bolt
the bracket and hub onto the spindle using the supplied 10mm bolts and washers as
shown in Image 3. Tighten to 47 ft/lbs.
7.
Install rotor.
8.
Using the supplied 14mm bolts, mount the C5 caliper mounting bracket to the BMR
adapter bracket.
9.
Insert the guide pin boots and guide pins into the guides of the C5 caliper bracket.
10. Insert brake pads into caliper and bolt the caliper on to the C5 caliper bracket.
11. Install the brake hose using new banjo bolts and copper washers.
12. Bleed brakes.
13. Re-install wheels and tires. Lower vehicle.
