When you use a Compatible FlashCopy S-VOL as a Cnt Ac-J Z P-VOL
You can use a Compatible FlashCopy S-VOL as a Cnt Ac-J Z P-VOL when the Cnt Ac-J Z pair is in
any status.
When you use a Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL as a Cnt Ac-J Z P-VOL
You can use a Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL as a Cnt Ac-J Z P-VOL when the Cnt Ac-J Z pair is in
any status. When you want to use a Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL as a Cnt Ac-J Z P-VOL, note the
following conditions:
•
If a Compatible FlashCopy volume and a Cnt Ac-J Z volume cannot be shared, the host may
receive a report that a Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL is a PPRC P-VOL.
•
If the S-VOL and T-VOL of a Compatible FlashCopy relationship are both Thin Provisioning Z
volumes, the number of pages remaining in the T-VOL may differ depending on the timing.
•
If a Compatible FlashCopy relationship is suspended during a copy operation, the shared Cnt
Ac-J Z pair is also suspended. Because data is copied asynchronously in Cnt Ac-J Z, it may
take much time before the Cnt Ac-J Z pair is suspended.
Using Compatible FlashCopy with Concurrent Copy and Extended Remote Copy
The following table describes the combinations of the volumes when you use Compatible FlashCopy
with Concurrent Copy (CC) and Extended Remote Copy (XRC).
