The following options of Compatible FlashCopy-to-PPRC primary volume must be specified at the
same time:
•
DFSMSdss: FCTOPPRCPRIMARY
•
TSO: TGTPPRIM(YES)
•
ICKDSF: TGTOKASPPRCPRIM(YES)
•
ANTRQST Macro: TGTPPRIM(YES)
Releasing Compatible FlashCopy relationships
When you use the DFSMSdss command, keep in mind that the DFSMSdss command cannot release
Compatible FlashCopy relationships.
In the following situations, the FCWITHDR command might be issued automatically by a host server,
and relationships might be deleted:
•
A user deletes dataset.
•
A user initializes a volume.
•
Temporary dataset is deleted when a job completes.
You can release allocated space for a space-efficient target volume (TSE-VOL) by using the following
parameters:
•
IDCKDSF: RELATSPACE
•
ANTRQST Macro: SPACEREL
If you do not specify these parameters when releasing relations of TSE-VOLs, relations are deleted
but the allocated capacity of targets is not released.
Interoperability with other products and functions
Compatible FlashCopy can share volumes with the following software:
•
Business Copy Z
•
Continuous Access Synchronous Z
•
Continuous Access Journal Z
•
IBM Extended Remote Copy (XRC)
•
IBM Concurrent Copy (CC)
•
Parallel Access Volumes
