You are prompted with the following options:

Uninstall—Removes the previous version.

Upgrade—Upgrades to HP Storage Provider 2.0, and imports array related data that is
configured in the database during the previous install.

NOTE:

If you select Upgrade while using HP 3PAR StoreServ, then after completing upgrade,

you must update the HP 3PAR SSL certificate for HP 3PAR StoreServs that are already present
in the database. For more information on updating the HP 3PAR SSL Certificate, see

“Updating

HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage SSL certificates” (page 10)

.

Follow the instructions on the installation window, and click Finish when the installation is
complete.

After successful installation of HP Storage Provider:

The \opt\HP Storage Plug-in for SAP LVM folder is created with the Storage plug-in
and deployment file (.SCA).

The Storage Administrator portal is installed.

Upgrading to HP Storage Plug-in 2.0

The following upgrade paths are supported:

HP Storage Plug-in 1.0 to HP Storage Plug-in 2.0.

HP Storage Plug-in 1.1 to HP Storage Plug-in 2.0.

Verifying installation

To verify installation of the HP Storage Provider:

For Windows—ensure that the HP Storage Plug-in for SAP LVM service is running.

For Linux—ensure that the hpstorageadapter service is running.

Uninstalling HP Storage Provider

Removing HP Storage Provider on Windows

To remove the HP Storage Provider on Windows, do the following:

Run the Uninstall HP Storage Plug-in for SAP LVM.exe file from the
Uninstall_HP Storage Plug-in for SAP LVM

folder, under the install path.

Removing HP Storage Provider on Linux

To remove the HP Storage Provider on Linux, do the following:

Run Uninstall_HP Storage Plug-in for SAP LVM.bin from the Uninstall HP
Storage Plug-in for SAP LVM

folder, under the install path.

NOTE:

You must run the commands from a GUI-enabled console.

Validating HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage SSL certificates

HP 3PAR StoreServ enables management and validation of SSL certificates by the host and client
applications to establish a secure connection.

HP 3PAR CLI and HP 3PAR OS versions 2.3.1 MU5 P35, 3.1.1 MU3 P27, 3.1.2 MU3 P16, or
later, supports a self-signed 2048-bit RSA SSL certificate for HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage.
