Deploying Central Storage Adapter on SAP NW LVM
To deploy the Central Storage Adapter on SAP NW LVM, preform the following:
1.
Copy the .SCA file from the deployed HP Storage Plug-in to /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in.
2. SSH to localhost as adm user to open JSPM (Java Support Package Manager).
You can open the JSPM console only if the user is adm.
3. Start JSPM using the following commands:
•
Navigate to /usr/sap//J00/j2ee/JSPM
•
Execute ./go
4. Log in to JSPM.
5. Select New Software Components.
The software component to be deployed is populated.
6. Retain the default settings on the Specify Queue window. Confirm that the component selected
is HP_Adapter_SAP_LVM with the required patch level.
7. Click Next.
8. Retain the default settings on the Check Queue window and click Start.
9. The Deploy Queue window appears and displays the deployment progress.
10. On successful deployment of the adapter, the Completed window appears.
Click Exit to close JSPM.
The adapter is now successfully deployed, however the status of the HP_Storage_Adapter
service is Stopped.
11. Log in to the NWA (NetWeaver Administrator) portal.
12. Click Operations and select Start & Stop.
13. Navigate to Start & Stop: Java Applications and select HP_Storage_Adapter.
The following details are displayed for the selected adapter:
•
Vendor—hp.com
•
Status—Stopped
14. Click Start to start the HP_Storage_Adapter service.
Configuring HP Library on the Managed SAP system
This section describes the process to configure HP Library on the Managed SAP system.
Configuring HP Library for Windows
To configure HP Library on the Managed SAP system for Windows, do the following:
•
Extract the storageLibraryWindows.zip file to the directory having the host agent
executable file.
For example, navigate to the C:\Program Files\SAP\hostctrl\exe folder, and extract
the .zip file.
NOTE: The storageLibraryWindows.zip file is available in the <HP Storage Provider
Installation Directory>/saplvm_sapwindows.
