NOTE: The concept of a Reserved-Group only applies to Hp StorageWorks XP arrays.
To change the Reserved-Group assignment for a specific array:
1. Click the Program Properties tab from the Main Menu.
2. On the Program Properties tab under the Reserved-Group Assignment pane, select the storage
array to be modified.
3. Click Properties.
The Modify Reserved-Group Assignment window opens. In this window, specify the following:
• Storage Array: This field is not editable and displays the serial number of the selected array.
It is a unique number to identify the array where the physical devices are located.
• Reserved-Group Name: The HP Storage Essentials SRM SAP ACC integration software
creates a host group with the default name of SAP ACC Reserved on the selected port and
assigns all of the physical devices used in the Adaptive Computing environment to this group.
Enter a new name if you want to change the name of the Reserved-Group on the array, or
enter an existent group name.
• Reserved-Group port: This field displays the current port for the Reserved-Group.
• New array port: If you want to change the port of the Reserved-Group on the array, select a
new port from the pull-down menu. The port number selected for the Reserved-Group should
be a Target or RCU Target port with security enabled.
NOTE: The HP StorageWorks XP array has a limit of the number of physical devices that
can be assigned per host group and per port. This limit is dependent on the array version
and can be between 1024 and 2048 devices. This provides an upper limit on the maximum
number of devices that the current version of Application Integration Software can manage
per storage array.
4. Click Finish.
The Application Integration Software for SAP ACC creates a host group on the new port and
moves the devices used by the configured resources to the new host group. The old host group is
deleted.
