Changing the User Name and Password Used for

Communicating with HP Storage Essentials SRM

The administrator account which is created during the installation of HP Storage Essentials SRM, is

the account used for communication between the Application Integration Software for SAP ACC

and HP Storage Essentials SRM.
If the user name or password for the administrator account changes, you must make the Application

Integration Software aware of this change so that it can continue to communicate with HP Storage

Essentials SRM. This includes changes in the username or password letter case since they are both

case sensitive.

To change the user name and/or password:

1.

Click the Program Properties tab from the Main Menu. On the Program Properties tab under the

HP Storage Essentials authentication setting pane, specify the following:
Username: If applicable, enter the new user name .
Password: If applicable, enter the new password.

2.

Click Save Changes.

Changing the Reserved-Group Assignment

When a Storage Resource is not mounted on any host, the physical storage for that resource is not

presented to any array port. In this case, the Storage Resource may appear to be available. To

protect the data on these physical storage devices, a Reserved-Group is created on a specific host

port in the array. The physical storage devices that are not mounted are presented to this port. You

can modify the information for the Reserved-Group on the Program Properties tab of the Main

Menu.
