When You Want More Control
Face Detection
The camcorder automatically detects people’s faces and uses
this information to set the correct exposure.
* Face detection is always activated in N mode.
By default, face detection is activated so you can skip step 1 in
the following procedure. If the function was turned off, perform
the following procedure starting from step 1.

Activate face detection.
• If the shooting mode is changed during exposure com-
pensation, the camcorder will return to automatic expo-
sure.
• By default, the camcorder corrects for backlight condi-
tions. You can turn off the automatic correction with the
