General Maintenance

The 8000 series multimeters maintenance requirements are listed below. Please note that the
multimeter does not require any regular internal servicing or adjustment.
1) Electrical Safety Checks on Line power lead and case
2) Cleaning the external case
Electrical Safety Tests
These can be carried out as frequently as required. Earth bond and insulation can be tested as a
class 1 standard. Flash testing is not recommended due to the possibility of damage to internal
components.
Cleaning the external case
Use a damp cloth with a mild water based cleaner for the outside case and front panel. Do not use
alcohol based cleaners or solvents and do not spill or allow liquid to enter the case.
