OPTION 3: CREATING A NEW PROGRAM
The final option is to create a completely new
program by selecting "New" in the Select
Program menu. This section also contains
details of the individual parameters and
functions.
To create a new program, select "New" in the
Select Program menu.
Type in a program name; for details see the
previous page.
The cursor icons can be used to scroll up and
down to access more parameters. Scrolling up
the menu displays the default parameters:
• Heated lid
• Pause before the program
• Initial denaturation
• Hot start
• Final extension
• Final hold
The default parameters are defined in the
System user menu and information about the
programming of these parameters can be
found on page 41. All of the default
parameters can be set uniquely within an
individual program.
The keys in the editing menu are as follows:
"Del"
Delete will remove only the highlighted step. The default parameters cannot be deleted.
"Ins"
Insert will add a next step if no "Next step" is present.
"Save As"
Allows the program to be saved with an alternative name.
"Save"
Saves the program.
"PWord"
