user will be prompted again to “press any key” and the alarm 3 relay will be turned on. The user will be
prompted again to “press any key” and the fault relay will be turned on. The user will be prompted again to
“press any key” and all the relays will be reset. The user will then be prompted to connect COMM1
(master) to COMM2 (slave) for a Modbus™ loop back test and “press any key” to continue. This will
initiate test 1 of 4 which performs a Modbus™ communication test at 4800 baud rate. The test will
perform 127 iterations and indicate the number of errors received if any. The user has the option to abort
the test at any time by “pressing any key”. Once test 1 is complete or has been aborted by the user, test 2 of
4 will initiate automatically and perform 127 iterations of the Modbus™ communication test at 9600 baud
rate. Test 3 of 4 will follow at 19200 baud rate and finally test 4 of 4 will be performed at 38400 baud rate.
All four tests can be terminated at any time by the user. When these tests are completed the display will
revert back to the SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS menu.
NOTE: The Modbus™ loop back test cannot be performed on the CXT controllers, as the
COMM2 (slave) port is not accessible to the user. This test should be aborted by the user.
4.3.16 Display Settings
The DISPLAY SETTINGS menu allows the user to customize the brightness, contrast and backlight
duration of the display. Upon entering this menu, the LCD will display:

These values can be changed by swiping the magnet over the markers of the up or down arrows to move
the arrow prompt “→” to the desired function. A swipe over the ENTER marker will select the function
indicated by the arrow prompt “→” and the value can be changed by swiping over the markers of the up or
down arrows. Another swipe over the ENTER marker will save the selected value. Values for brightness
and contrast can range between 0 and 100. Available values for the backlight timeout function are OFF, 10
seconds, 30 seconds and 1-5 minutes. The backlight timeout is the amount of time the user has before the
LCD backlight will turn off while in the Main Display due to inactivity.
4.3.17 Time and Date
The TIME AND DATE menu allows the user to set the time and date for the controller. Upon entering this
menu, the LCD will display:

The time will be displayed as military time (24hrs) in hours, minutes and seconds. The date will be
displayed as the month, day and two digit year. If the time and/or date are not correct, they can be changed
as follows. To set the time, verify TIME is selected (enclosed in brackets) and swipe the magnet over the
ENTER marker to enter the SET TIME menu. Swipe the magnet over the markers of the up or down
arrows to move the arrow prompt “→” to the desired field. A swipe over the ENTER marker will select the
field indicated by the arrow prompt “→” and the value can be changed by swiping over the markers of the
up or down arrows. Another swipe over the ENTER marker will save the selected value. Once the desired
values have been set, move the arrow prompt to “Update Time” and swipe the ENTER marker to update
the time with the changes entered. To set the date, swipe the magnet over the marker of the down arrow
and verify DATE is selected (enclosed in brackets). Swipe the magnet over the ENTER marker to enter the
