2.2 NEMA 7 Units
The Model CXT-32-N7 controller is housed in an explosion proof NEMA 7 enclosure for indoor/outdoor
use and comes neatly packaged and mounted on a mounting plate designed for 2~3” pole mounting.
Securely mount the Model CXT-32-N7 per the mounting dimensions provided in Figure 5. No outside
connections are expected for operation.

The CXT-N7 controller is battery powered, and thus is self sustaining. The battery pack is removable for
charging or replacement with a freshly charged battery pack. With the battery installed, the unit will
automatically begin normal operation after a brief power-up diagnostic sequence.
NOTE: The battery charger is meant to charge the unit’s batteries, and should not be used to
operate the unit for any length of time.
The NEMA 7 CXT Controller utilizes the RXT-320 Transceiver, and the Model 100 Terminal Board. The
Terminal Board is mounted in the condulet/J-Box (See Figure 5). The terminal board includes connector
plugs for the following:
J1 4-Pin Connector – Modbus Out (Wireless Transceiver Option)
J2 6-Pin Header – Wireless Transceiver Programming Header
J3 6-Beau Connector – used for battery operation or display interface dependant on sensor configuration
J4 4-Pin Connector – Modbus In
J5 6-Pin Connector – used for Display interface with battery/wireless configurations
J6 4-Pin Connector – Sensor connections
J7 4-Pin Connector – Auxiliary power in and mA out.
J8 6-Pin Connector – Wireless Transceiver
J9 5-Pin Header – Terminal Board Programming
