Figure 6 Model 100 Terminal Board
The Model 100 Terminal Board also contains two rotary switches which are used to set the Modbus™
address for the RXT-320 wireless transceiver of the CXT controller. If not already set from the Detcon
factory, set the address to F0h. Access the terminal board and locate the switches shown in Figure 1. The
MSD (most significant digit) ‘F’ is represented by the top rotary switch (closest to the J1 connector) and
the LSD (least significant digit) ‘0’ is represented by the bottom rotary switch (closest to the J2 connector).

2.3 Initial Start-Up
The CXT controller will power up as soon as power is applied. There is no external power switch on
NEMA 7 units so power is applied when the battery pack is installed. NEMA 4 units have a power
ON/OFF switch located on the left side of the unit, and power is applied when the switch is energized.
When power is applied to the unit, the unit will boot up and display the company name, model, firmware
version and COMM ports available. It will proceed to poll Modbus™ addresses of any attached devices.
The display will show up to 8 channels at one time. The LCD will then refresh and display the next 8
channels and so on until the LCD cycles back to the first 8 channels and repeats the process. This is
considered normal operation.
If a previous configuration does not exist, the user will need to manually configure the network from the
user-interface. After the unit has been configured, the unit will begin normal operation. If the unit has
been configured properly, the unit will display the current status of the devices that it is connected to.
