8.6. Submenu "ANALOG"
This part of the program is used to define the ranges of temperature and
humidity, which correspond to the analog outputs. Furthermore this menu may
adjust offsets in the analog outputs. This is helpful to compensate for any
discrepancies between the series 72 instrument and any other device coupled
to the output.
8.6.1. "RANGE" does not affect the Resolution
If you step into "ANALOG" by hitting "E", the display will show "RANGE", which
is the first submenu of "ANALOG". This menu allows you to define the ranges of
temperature and humidity. By this, the output adjustment for other equipment,
like regulators, printers or recorders, may be done easily.
It is important to mention at this point, that changing a range has no influence
on the resolution of the outputs. So even very narrow ranges (e.g. 10 to 20%
RH or 50 to 60°C) will not change the resolution of the analog or digital outputs,
which is given by 0.1% RH and 0.1°C! This feature is determined by the fully
digital signal processing.
8.6.2. Lower Limit of Humidity Range
If you step into "RANGE" with "E", the display will show "H OUT " . This
symbolizes the lower border of the humidity output and if you want to change it,
you may enter this submenu by pressing "E" again. You will now see the actual
value of this limit with a flashing first decimal. By pressing " " you may change
the value of this digit - with " " you may change over to the next one. If all digits
are set to the new value, you acknowledge with "E" and the program steps to
the next part.
8.6.3. Upper Limit of Humidity Range
Now "H out " is seen in the display. With "E" you enter this part of program
and may now proceed analog to the previous one. If you have the correct value
in the display, the acknowledgement is done by "E".
8.6.4. Behaviour at Sensor Break
Now the display shows "H err " or with an arrow downwards or horizontal. The
arrow symbolizes the reaction of the analog output in the following way:
1)
= output goes to upper limit
2)
= output goes to lower limit
3)
= output remains on last value
Entering this menu by "E", you may change the reaction with " ". If the desired
reaction is in the display, pressing "E" holds it in memory.
