7.5. Submenu "DELETE"
The submenu "DELETE" allows you to cancel an old calibration totally, before
recalibrating a probe. This procedure must be done, when tests show a
deviation of standards of more than 5% rel. Humidity. In this case, check the
sensor by visual inspection. If no mechanical defects occured, and no layer of
dust or other contamination is found, a new calibration is required.
To erase all calibration points hit "E" when "DELETE" is in the display. Now a
safety check (ok Y N) is seen. Accepting "Yes" with button " " will delete the
calibrations, accepting "No" with button "E" will not delete them. In both cases
the program will jump back to "CHANGE".
7.6. Calibration of Temperature ("TEMPER")
The third submenu of "CALIB" is named "TEMPER" and is used to calibrate
temperature sensors of probes. Entering of this program is done with (E), as in
other submenus. The display will then show the temperature in the upper line -
for example 20.5 °C - and "LOW" in the lower line. If a reference sensor, located
closely to the tip of the probe, shows a different temperature, the display may
be adjusted to the reference. Pressing (E) will enter this routine - the display
now shows a flashing first decimal. This is to advise the user to adjust the
temperature reading by pushbuttons " " and " ". Pressing " " increases the
value of the decimal, " " will switch over to next decimal. If the desired value is
in the display, acknowledgement is done by (E) - this brings the new calibration
in the memory.
With (M), you may leave "TEMPER" submenu after "LOW" temperature
calibration. (M) is also pressed if you do not want to keep the new value of
temperature display in memory. After hitting (M) a second time the display will
show "RETURN", after a third time, "RUN". With "RETURN" the program jumps
back to "TEMPER", with "RUN" to the measurement mode, if acknowledged by
(E).
7.7 Entering the Pressure Factor ("PRESS")
With this submenu you may enter a pressure factor, which enables the
microprocessor to calculate rel. humidities at atmospheric pressure, when
measurement is done at known, stable but notatmospheric conditions. The
formula used for the calculation of the displayed values is:
rel. Humidity
(atmospheric)
= rel. Humidity
(at pressure)
/P.factor
The P.factor is given by:
P.factor = actual Pressure/atmospheric Pressure
Entering submenu "PRESS" is done by (E). In the upper display the pressure
factor is now shown with a flashing first decimal. You may change this value
now, by using the same procedure as necessary to enter a password or any
other numeric value, with " " and " ") buttons. If the correct value is in the
display, acknowledgement is done by (E).
As in all the other submenus, you may leave the menu by (M), either via
"RETURN" or "RUN".
