4.7 PRIMARY OPERATION
Step 3 – Lock on your tractor lever that your
green banded hoses are connected to. You will
see full tractor pressure on the bottom middle
gauge of your hydraulic manifold. Step 4 – While moving forward with your
tractor, engage your tractor lever that your
red banded hoses are connected to.
Locking this lever on for long periods of time will lead to
o-ring failure in your hydraulic block on your seeder.
Please set your detents or timers on this circuit.
Step 5 – Let the lever you last locked on come
back into the neutral position. This lever is
never left in the on position. It is only needed to
raise and lower the shanks faster on
headlands.
Step 1 – Ensure that there is power going to
your control box.
Step 6 – Turn on Packing switch. This
switch engages a valve on the hydraulic
manifold which maintains packing and
penetration pressure. This will also start
metering products like seed and fertilizer.
Step 2 – Take a look at your tractor
hydraulic levers.
