Using a ¼” drill bit, drill out the two rivets in the Center Vane Assembly and install the Spring
Tensioner using the pop-rivets included in the Parts Kit.;

Bend the “U” Bracket as shown in Figures 5 and 6.

Using four pop-rivets (supplied with kit) connect
the “U” bracket to the left and right Vane Rail
Assembly. (See Figure 2)

Attach the spring to the bottom hole in the “U”
bracket. Then attach the spring to the Spring
Tensioner Bracket in the uppermost hole as shown in
Figure 7. NOTE: The position of the spring can be
changed after running the fan and checking the
operation of the shutter.

The Shutter Clip installation is complete.
(9)
Reinstall shutter to fan.
(10)
Reconnect power to fan.
(11)
Verify operation of shutter. If shutter does not perform satisfactorily, the spring can be moved up
(reduce tension) or down (increase tension).
