BELT TENSIONER
48" Mega Flow Fan
Warning!
Disconnect All Electrical Power To Fan Before Installing Belt Tensioner
Always Double Check Power Sources.
KIT INCLUDES:
1011-5001 Belt Tensioner
1004-1402 Screw 1/4-20 (4)
1001-1446 Lock Nut 1/4-20 (4)
1022-3000 Belt AP-44
Tools Required:
Cordless drill
17/64 in. (0.67 cm) drill bit
3/8 in. (9.5 mm) Drive ratchet
6" (15.2 cm) Extension for ratchet
7/16 in. (11 mm) Socket
7/16 in. (11 mm) Wrench
Installation
1. Disconnect electrical power to fan.
2. Remove fan belt from motor & pulley.
3. Position belt tensioner 1.75" (4.44 cm) from
chamfered edge of bottom of flange as shown
in diagram below.
4. Mark the four holes of belt tensioner.
5. Drill four 17/64" holes in support brace.
6. Fasten belt tensioner to support brace with
screws (1004-1402) & lock nuts (1001-1446)
provided.
7. Use straight edge. Align prop pulley with
pulley on belt tensioner.
8. Use straight edge. Align motor pulley with
pulley on belt tensioner.
9. Make sure set screws on pulleys are tight.
Recommended torque settings: Prop pulley
110 In. Lb. Max.; Motor pulley 110 In. Lb. Min.
10. Roll fan belt onto pulleys.
11. Installation complete.
