Trouble Shooting Questions

How do I know if my computers will draw more than the allowed current?

Have a qualified electrician verify the cart’s current draw once your laptops are installed. Laptops should be turned off and

batteries should be discharged when this test is performed.

The laptops are all plugged in, but they won’t charge. What do I do?

First, check all the connections. With the switch in the middle OFF position, inspect the power cord and plug to make sure

that they’re undamaged. Plug the cord into a working power outlet. Verify that each laptop is connected to its trans-

former brick and that each brick is plugged into the cart column. Move the switch to the down CHARGE position to direct

power to the laptops.
Next, check the fuse or circuit breaker. Move the switch to the middle OFF position. The 20-unit and 30-unit carts use MDA

15 fuses; replace the fuse if needed. The 18-unit and 27-unit Deluxe Carts use a circuit breaker. Press to reset if it’s been

tripped. MOve the switch to the down CHARGE position to direct power to the laptops.

Someone tried to break into the cart and damaged a door. Can it be replaced?

Yes, you can order a replacement. Call Anthro at 800-325-3841. We’ll ask you for the model number of your cart and to

identify the door by the telling us which side the hinges are on and whether it’s for the front or back of the cart.

My power cord is damaged. Is it covered under warranty?

No, it is not covered under warranty. If the plug is damaged, have a qualified electrician replace it. If the damage is too close

to the cart to be replaced, contact Anthro for a replacement column.

My computers didn’t charge overnight. What is wrong?

Make sure the cart is plugged in. Make sure the control switch is pushed down so that power is directed inside the cart.

When I plug in the cart it trips the circuit breaker. What is wrong?

The cart is designed to run on a 15 amp circuit. If you have other equipment or appliances plugged into the same circuit you

may be overloading it. Have a qualified electrician check the circuit to make sure adequate power is available.

My cart was damaged during shipment. What should I do?

Anthro has a program established with our freight carriers to address ship damage. Please contact Anthro at 800.325.3841

and we’ll work with you.

How do I find the cart’s serial number?

The serial number label is located at the back of the cart behind the left door near the bottom, next to the power column.

How do I know which laptops are being charged?

In the 20-unit cart, when the power switch is down, power is directed to the receptacles inside the enclosure.
In the 18-unit, 27-unit, and 30-unit carts, a timer directs the power from one side of the cart to the other when the power

switch is down and power is directed inside the enclosure. Indicator lights on the right and left of the power switch tell you

which side of the cart is receiving power.

I need to replace the fuse. What type of fuse should I use?

The standard NCC carts (20-unit and 30-unit) require an MDA 15 fuse. For continued protection against risk of fire, replace

only with this type and rating of fuse.

I have a deluxe cart, but my laptops aren’t connecting to the network. What should I do?

Double-check all the data cable connections: from the cart to each switch, from each switch to each laptop. Double-check
the power connection from the cart to each switch.
