HOW IT WORKS, cont.
Removing and Re-installing Shelves - Shelves can be removed to make space for larger equipment inside the enclosure.
To remove a shelf
• At the back of the cart, remove the Phillips-head fastener under the A/C adapter shelf.
• At the front of the cart, pull the shelf out slowly. Shelf clips hold the shelves in place snugly, so expect a bit of
resistance as you pull.
• In the 30-unit carts, 9 shelves are attached near the center column. Removing and replacing these
shelves requires two people. From the front of the cart, use a 5/16” nut driver to hold the attachment nut in
place. From the back of the cart, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the fastener attaching the
shelf to the
center column. Once the fasteners are removed, pull out the shelf from the front of the cart. Shelf
clips hold the shelves in place snugly, so expect a bit of resistance as you pull.
To re-install a shelf
• At the front of the cart, slide the shelf through the shelf clips and into place.
• At the back of the cart, use the Phillips-head fastener to attach the shelf to the cart.
Using a torque wrench, attach the shelf to the cart. Tighten the fastener to 20 in-lbs to ensure that the
shelf is grounded.

THE NETWORK CONNECTION ON NETWORK-READY DELUXE CARTS
Network-ready Deluxe Charging Carts come with data cables routed from the base of the cart to each shelf, and
a single 15-ft long data cable connects your cart to your network. It is stored on the cable wrap with the power
cable. Two external data ports are located on the power column, below the power receptacles, to provide a
network connection to peripherals used on the top of the cart.
