Main Output. These are balanced analog outputs and are normally used to connect your FireStudio
Lightpipe to your studio monitors.
ADAT–S/MUX Input and Output These are the ADAT–S/MUX connections for your external digital
devices. When recording or playing back at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz, each ADAT port will send or receive 8
of the 32 channels, numbered consecutively from right to left. When recording or playing back at 88.2
kHz or 96 kHz, each connection will provide 4 of the 16 channels.

ADAT 1
: Channels 1-8 (44.1/48 kHz), 1-4 (88.2/96 kHz)

ADAT 2
: Channels 9-16 (44.1/48 kHz), 5-8 (88.2/96 kHz)
o
ADAT 3
: Channels 17-24 (44.1/48 kHz), 9-12 (88.2/96 kHz)
o
ADAT 4
: Channels 25-32 (44.1/48 kHz), 13-16 (88.2/96 kHz)
Any of the ADAT inputs can be used to receive word clock from an external device. You should select
the appropriate ADAT input as the Clock Source and set the sample rate to correspond to the external
device in the Universal Control when using an external ADAT device for word clock sync.
