When the device does not detect COMRESET it will not respond. However, some devices implement
Asynchronous Signal Recovery (ASR) and send out COMINIT every 10ms. In that case, one COMINIT may be
seen from the device, but it will be clear that the product is not responding to the COMRESET. The device must
respond to every COMRESET above the minimum threshold voltage.
