Answering system settings
To record a new outgoing announcement:
Using a cordless handset:
1. When the handset is in idle mode, press
MENU/
�ELECT
to enter the
main menu.
2. Press q

or p
DIR
to scroll to >Answering sys, then press
MENU
/�ELECT.
3. Press
MENU
/�ELECT again to select >Announcement.
4. Scroll to >Record annc and press
MENU
/�ELECT. The
system announces, “Record after the tone. Press 5 when
you are done.”
5. Speak towards the handset to record your announcement. Press 5 to end
recording. Your recorded announcement plays.
To listen to the recorded announcement again, scroll to >�lay annc and
press
MENU
/�ELECT.
Using the telephone base:
1. When the telephone base is in idle mode, press

�ELECT
to enter the main menu.
