Select the programmed personal memory
location with the + or ć button 2.

To save the setting, tap on the surface of
the scales. The personal settings are
displayed briefly, then
0.0
is displayed.
Note: Stand on the scales with bare, dry feet
only.
S
Step onto the scales and stand still until the
bar graph on the display 1 stops moving.
Distribute your weight evenly on both legs.
Important: Your feet, calves and thighs must
not touch, otherwise the measurement will be
incorrect.
The measurements can now be read off, first
- Weight in kg
Body fat as a % (0.1 % division)
then
-
Weight in kg
Water content as a % (0.1 % division)
The displays are repeated 3 times provided you
stand still on the scales.
The scales automatically switch off at the end
of the measuring process.
How does fat measurement
work
Body fat is measured according to the BIA
principle (bioelectrical impedance analysis).
The appliance transmits a weak, harmless
electrical signal through the body.
The resistance (impedance), i.e. the signal
which the body resists, is measured.
The resistance is affected by the composition
of the human body. Muscles and organs
contain water and are therefore good
conductors. Fat resists the signal and is
therefore a poor conductor.
The body fat percentage is calculated from this
measured resistance taking into account the
data (size, age, sex) which was input into the
scales. The body fat content varies greatly from
person to person. Therefore, only approximate
values are indicated in the following table.

Important: The measurements are only an
indication of longĆterm changes. They are not
replacing medical observation or consultation.
For more detailed information on the meaning
of body fat content and body water content as
well as personal ideal values, please consult
your GP.
Tip:
- To obtain comparable measurements,
weigh yourself every day at the same
time and under the same conditions
(recommended in the mornings or three
hours after a meal or sport). The values
fluctuate naturally by approx. 5% in the
course of the day.
- When stepping on the scales, ensure that
you touch as many contacts as possible.
- Very dry skin and/or very hard skin may
distort the result. The measurement results
will be more accurate if the soles of the feet
have good blood circulation or are damp.
However, please ensure that the soles of
the feet are not wet.
