Step 5 – Mounting the Flat Panel TV to the Wall Plate
Before mounting the Flat Panel TV to the Wall Plate (which has been secured to
the wall as specified above), first you must unlock the Fixed or Tilt Arms (which
are now attached to the Flat Panel TV). To unlock the Fixed Arms pull the cord up
as shown in Figure 17A. To unlock the Tilt or Cantilever Arms push the Locking
Tab down so the Locking Lever comes up as shown in Figure 17B.
To mount the Flat Panel TV to the Wall Plate, have 2 people lift the Flat Panel TV
with the attached Fixed or Tilt Arms and Extension Arms if needed. Slide the
hooks of the Fixed or Tilt Arms over the top of the upper lip on the Wall Plate
and slide down until the Fixed or Tilt Arms rest firmly on both sides of the Wall
Plate Lip as shown in Figure 18A or 18B. The Fixed or Tilt Arms should be flush
against the Wall Plate.
Lock the Fixed Arms under the bottom lip of the Wall Plate by pulling down on
the cord as shown in Figure 17A and 18A. This should be completed on both
Fixed Arms.
Lock the Tilt Arms under the bottom lip of the Wall Plate by pushing the Locking
Tab up so that the Locking Lever comes down, as shown in Figure 17B and 18B,
over the Wall Plate lip.
Step 6 - Using the Tilt Function
To use the Tilt function of the Arm, gently grasp the Flat Panel TV and pull
forward. When in the desired position use the Locking Lever to secure the
Flat Panel TV in place.
