Replacement Instructions

1. Remove hardware and cables from battery studs on
isolator.
2. Using double nuts, remove stud from terminal.
See Figure 1.
3. Apply Loctite
®
222 to lower threads of new stud.
Using double nuts, install new stud until it extends
no more than an inch out of the terminal. See Figure 2.
Critical dimension: To properly
engage terminal, stud threads
must not extend more than
.94" to 1.06" from top of terminal.
4. Remove double nuts. Install hardware in stacking
order shown in Figure 3.
Failure to follow stacking order
will result in substantial
equipment damage.
M12x1.75 Stud (3 places)
Lock washer (3 places)
Flat washer (3 places)
Nut (3 places)–
torque to 30 Nm/22 lb. ft.
27mm/1.06 in. dia.
brass boss
Customer cables
to be located
under flat washer
Do not exceed recommended
torque. Component damage
will result.
