1.5 Operating Tests – TMU Two-speed Motor

CAUTION: Always be ready to press the emergency stop button.
y
Check that the electrical connections and mechanical assemblies are all correct.
y
Check that the operating parameters are as required.
y
Check for loose electrical connections.
y
Close the control enclosure cover.
y
Turn on the power supply.
y
Check that the movements of the trolley are free from obstruction and do not cause any danger.
y
Verify supply voltage matches the motor nameplate voltage.
y
If the trolley moves to the wrong direction with respect to the push button pressed, interchange L1 and L2
leads on the contactor in the trolley control panel.
y
Operate at minimum speed for 5 to 10 seconds. Accelerate up to maximum speed and hold it for 5 to 10
seconds.
y
Carry out the same operation in the opposite direction, first at minimum speed and then at maximum
speed.
y
Check the operations of the left and right trolley travel limit switches. Limit switch is an optional
component.
