= Activation of the TTY-interface

L = left position, R = right position

Depending on the requirements, the VEGA
ASCII interface can be used as TTY interface
but also as RS 232 interface (using the hook
switches). Illustration 2.15 shows the respec-
tive switch positions. As a rule, VEGACOM
557 is delivered with RS 232 activated.
