Appendix
Not registered appears on the handset and it does not work at all.
The handset may be deregstered from the telephone base. Follow the steps below
to regster the handset to the telephone base.
Remove the handset from the telephone base.
Press and hold
/FIND HANDSET on the telephone base for about four seconds
untl the red
IN USE lght turns on.
Then press
# (pound key) on the handset. It dsplays Registering... and t
takes about 60 seconds to complete the regstraton. The handset dsplays
Registered for a few seconds and you hear a confirmation tone when the
regstraton process completes.
Low battery shows on the handset screen.
Place the handset n the telephone base or charger for rechargng.
Remove and nstall the battery agan and use t untl fully depleted, then charge the
handset n the telephone base or charger for up to 16 hours.
If the above measures do not correct the problem, replace the battery.
The battery does not charge in the handset or the handset battery
does not accept charge.
Make sure the handset s placed n the telephone base or charger correctly. The
CHARGE lght on the handset should be on.
Remove and nstall the battery agan, then charge for up to 16 hours.

If the battery s completely depleted, charge the handset for at least 30 mnutes
before use (page 5).
Purchase a new battery. Refer to the
Battery secton (page 27).
The CHARGE light is off.
Clean the chargng contacts on the handset, telephone base and charger each
month wth a pencl eraser or a dry non-abrasve fabrc.
Make sure the power adapter and telephone lne cord are plugged n correctly
and securely.
Unplug the power adapter. Wat for 15 seconds before pluggng t back n. Allow up
to one mnute for the handset and telephone base to reset.
The telephone does not ring when there is an incoming call.
Make sure the handset rnger volume s not set to off (page 9).
Make sure the telephone lne cord and power adapter are plugged n properly
(page 2).
The handset may be too far from the telephone base. Move t closer to the
telephone base.
There may be too many extenson phones on the telephone lne to allow all of
them to rng smultaneously. Unplug some of them.
If other telephones n your home are havng the same problem, the problem s
n the wrng or local telephone servce. Contact your telephone servce provder
(charges may apply).
Other electronc products such as HAM rados and other DECT phones can cause
nterference wth your cordless phone. Try nstallng your phone as far away as
possble from these types of electronc devces.
