Telephone settings

Home area code
If you dal local calls usng only seven dgts (area code not requred), you
can program your home area code so that when you receve a call wthn
your local area, the telephone number s automatcally stored n the call log
wthout the area code.
To change the setting:
Press MENU/
SELECT
when the handset s not n use.
Press CID or untl the screen dsplays
Settings, then press
MENU
/SELECT.
Press CID or untl the screen dsplays
Home area code, then press
MENU
/SELECT. The
screen dsplays the currently stored home area code.
Use the dalng keys (
0-9) to enter the desred home
area code.
Press
MUTE
/DELETE to delete a dgt.
Press and hold
MUTE
/DELETE to delete all dgts.
Press
MENU
/SELECT to confirm. You hear a confirmation tone.
Dial mode
If you have touch-tone servce, the telephone s ready to use as soon
as the battery s charged. If you have pulse (rotary) servce, you need to
change the dal mode to pulse dalng.
To change the setting:

Press CID or untl the screen dsplays Settings, then
press
MENU
/SELECT.
Press CID or untl the screen dsplays Dial mode, then
press
MENU
/SELECT.
Press CID or to choose Tone or Pulse, then press
MENU
/SELECT
to confirm your selection. You hear a confirmation tone.

/SELECT. The screen dsplays the VTech webste address.

If, n the future, your telephone servce provder requres you to dal the
area code when makng a local call, or, f you move to a locaton that
requres t, delete the home area code you have already programmed
followng the steps above. After you have deleted the home area code,
