SEAT BELT REMINDER LIGHT
(for versions/markets, where provided)
60G049
When the driver doesn’t buckle his or her
seat belt, this light will come on. For de-
tails about the seat belt reminder, refer to
“Seat Belts and Child Restraint Systems” in
the “BEFORE DRIVING” section.

CHARGING LIGHT
50G052A
This light comes on when the ignition
switch is turned to the “ON” position, and
goes out when the engine is started. The
light will come on and remain on if there
is something wrong with the battery charg-
ing system. If the light comes on when the
engine is running, the charging system
should be inspected immediately by your
Fiat Dealership.
“AIR BAG” LIGHT
(for versions/markets, where provided)
Degraded engine oil should
be replaced as soon as pos-
sible after the warning light switches
on, and never more than 500 km af-
ter it first switches on. Failure to ob-
serve the above may result in severe
damage to the engine and invalidate
the warranty. Remember that when
the warning light comes on, it does
not mean that the level of engine oil
is low, so if the light switches on you
do not need to top up the engine oil.
WARNING
If this warning light switches on whilst dri-
ving, it does not indicate a fault with the
car, but simply advises that the engine oil
and oil filter must be changed immediate-
ly, since the control system has detected
that the useful life of the engine oil has re-
duced due to degradation, to an increase
or to a reduction in the oil level.
When the engine oil and oil filter are
changed, and the oil life monitoring sys-
tem is reset, this light will go out.
For more details on changing the engine
oil, refer to the paragraph "Changing the
engine oil and oil filter" in the section "VE-
HICLE CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE".
Whenever the engine oil is changed, the
light must be reset to monitor the next oil
change timing properly. To reset the light,
consult your Fiat Dealership.
Note that engine oil degrades faster un-
der the following circumstances:
– mainly urban use of the car, requiring
more frequent regeneration of the DPF;
– use of the vehicle for short drives, in
which the engine does not have time to
reach its regular operating temperature;
– repeated interruptions to the regener-
ation process signalled by the DPF warn-
ing light switching on.
This light blinks or comes on for several
seconds when the ignition switch is turned
to the “ON” position so you can check if
the light is working.
